Instead of listening to only guitarists, listen to the phrasing of saxophone, trumpet, and other wind players.

Listening to how other instrumentalists phrase their solos will give you a different perspective on how to phrase your own solos.

While it may not be possible to transcribe a saxophone solo directly to guitar, you can learn a lot simply by listening to what a saxophone player does.

Truth be told, many saxophone players’ phrasing is more interesting and creative than guitarists.

John Coltrane and Miles Davis are great places to start.
